A record number of Bedford Borough businesses are in the running to be recognised as the best in their field and it’s down to a public vote to see if they will win.
The Muddy Stilettos awards run up and down the UK with Bedford businesses included in the Herts & Beds section. After reaching the county finals, the public is asked to decide who is the best in various categories.
12 local businesses are up for awards across 10 categories.

- Boutique Stay: New Barn Farm, Carlton
- Children’s Business: Pickle and Pea Play, Bedford
- Children’s Business: Serene Play, Wootton
- Destination Pub: The Sun, Felmersham
- Farmshop/Deli: Bedford Cheese at The Barn, Cardington
- Fitness Instructor: Georgia Testa at Studio 281, Kempston
- Florist: Liv Scott Flowers, Turvey
- Hotel: The Kingfisher, Bedford
- Hotel: The Waterfront Hotel, Wyboston
- Wine & Beer Specialist: Blue Glass, Bedford
To vote for each of them, head to muddystilettos.co.uk, select the category and then the correct Bedford Borough business.
If a Bedford Borough business wins, they will be put through to the national awards where they could be crowned ‘Best of the Best’ across all 28 counties.
Voting closes on 18 April 2024 at 1pm.
