Full English helps St George prepare for his epic dragon duel at Wrest Park

Ahead of his legendary battle against the dragon at Wrest Park this weekend, St. George is preparing by defeating the ultimate foe – a supersized full English.

The enormous breakfast was cooked up by the English Heritage Café Staff at Wrest Park and included over six sausages, eight black puddings, seven rashers of bacon and four fried eggs.

The feast is part of St Georgeg’s super-patriotic training ahead of his duel with the dragon at English Heritage’s St. George’s Day Festival at Wrest Park.

The iconic event is returning for the first time since 2019, and this year will be kicking off on St. George’s Day itself, April 23.

The annual action-packed weekend will see shows, games, performances, activities and hordes of historical re-enactors spanning 2,000 years of history coming together to celebrate the country’s patron saint.

St George will take to the arena, resplendent in shining armour, astride his noble steed and with his stomach full with a delicious full English Breakfast to take on his arch-nemesis, the dragon in a spectacular pageant.

The St George’s Festival at Wrest Park is one of English Heritage’s largest and longest-running celebratory events and this year features exciting new arena displays, performances and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Tickets are £20.40 for aduts, £12.20 for children and a family ticket is £53. You can book your tickets here.
