Musical theatre will return to Bedford this summer in a newly created outdoor performance space at the Place Theatre.
Toffe Apple productions will be bringing Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s musical, ‘Tell Me On A Sunday’ to the Bradgate Road venue this June, after being granted special permission from The Really Useful Group Ltd.
This will be one of the first musical theatre productions in Bedford since lockdown began in March 2020. Performances will take place from Tuesday 22 June to Saturday 26 June, with a matinee and evening performance on Saturday 26 June.
“We are filled with a mixture of relief, pleasure and excitement being able to perform again, especially being able to use the Place Theatre’s new outdoor space,” said Toffe Apple Productions, producer, Chris Ingley.
“It is also amazing to see the reaction from the public with regards to supporting this production in both moral support and early ticket sales.”
The one-woman show tells the sort of an ordinary girl from London who travels to America in search of love. Her romantic misadventures begin in New York City, lead her to Hollywood, and eventually, take her back to Manhattan
“I am thrilled and excited to be playing ‘Girl’ in Tell me on a Sunday,” said Naomi Hennessey.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity and I am very much looking forward to finally get the chance to perform again!”
Tickets are £15 and you can book at the Place Theatre website.
