The second Art4Africa Exhibition is being held in Keysoe, North Bedfordshire this September with artists from across Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire represented. From 6 – 10 September (9am – 6pm) an array of paintings, sculptures, photography, jewellery and artefacts from renowned national and local artists will be showcased and available to buy, with 100% of the proceeds going to local charity, Rise Africa UK.

The charity was founded locally in 2011 by Olivia Faulkner, after an eye opening gap year project to Tanzania in 2009. Today, Rise Africa UK is on a mission to help children escape a life of poverty through education. The first ‘Art4Africa’ exhibition held in 2016 saw over 40 artists exhibiting their work. Over £15,000 was raised for the charity, as well as an astounding 35 additional children becoming sponsored by visitors to the event.

The exhibition ‘Art4Africa’ is being held at Olivia’s parents home,  transforming an 18th Century Baptist Chapel and gardens into a stunning celebration of local and national artworks as well as a dedicated marquee with artworks from Africa. There will also be a gift shop, as well as a BBQ on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September, to ensure a social and memorable visitor experience.
