Community Christmas Café

Charlie Fay has ‘popped up’ at the Old Fire Station in Mill Street.

Charlie say, ‘It came about after having a couple of months available before my next project and wanting to do something in one of the many empty shops in town.  It was very last minute so the week has been spent trying to source retail stockists and coffee machine etc!’

‘It will be a coffee shop with a simple cake and sandwich offering and retail food gifts to get everyone ready for the festive period.  We are a little limited with facilities at the shop so everything will be served in take away cups and plates although there is seating so people can sit in.’

‘We are supporting an amazing charity, Community Christmas who believe that no elderly person in the UK should be alone on Christmas Day unless they want to do.  They support people all around the country to put on events on Christmas Day so people who are alone have somewhere to go and other people to spend it with if they would like to.  We are giving 25% of our profits to the charity and we hope that we will be able to raise some money for them and promote them at the same time.’

You can also purchase food gifts too!
