The Krenit Bowl: Herbert Krenchel.

Krenit bowls

The Krenit bowl, designed by Herbert Krenchel remains one of the archetypal pieces of 20th Century Scandinavian design. Beautiful, sleek, elegant and functional, they were originally designed in 1953. The bowls went on to win the Gold Medal at the world’s leading design fair in 1954  – the Milan Triennale.

Designed in steel and enamel, the bowls were discontinued in 1966. Recently the bowls have started to be manufactured again but the recent reproductions lack both the quality and the design of the original 1950s and 1960s pieces.

At Design Twenty we have one of the largest collections of original Krenit bowls starting at just £35.00 for the smaller pieces through to the largest bowls at £275.00.

Pop in and take a look – they make lovely Christmas presents!

Design Twenty is at 11, Ram Yard, Bedford  MK40 1AL (in Castle Quay.)
