One of Britain’s most successful girl groups will headline a summer festival in the Bedfordshire countryside next year, as organisers announce Sugababes for Labyrinth Open Air at Tofte Manor on 5 July.

Organisers say this will be the group’s only UK show, and tickets will go on sale from Friday (28 November).

Labyrinth Open Air is billed as an intimate all-day festival set within the woodlands and grounds of Tofte Manor, created by independent promoter Labyrinth Events.

Labyrinth says the original Sugababes line-up will bring a specially curated guest line-up to their Bedfordshire debut.

Since reuniting in 2019, the original Sugababes have, according to organisers, reaffirmed their place as one of the most successful and influential girl groups in British pop history.

Record-breaking crowds

With their harmonies and mix of alternative, pop and R&B, they are credited with consistently pushing creative boundaries.

Following their return, organisers say they have twice “shut down” Glastonbury due to demand, sold out their biggest-ever arena tour, and performed to record-breaking crowds at major festivals across Europe.

Three new singles and a highly anticipated ninth studio album are also said to mark “an exciting new era” for the group.

Sugababes formed in 1998 when members Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy were still in their early teens.

Their debut single, Overload, and first album, One Touch, brought critical acclaim, leading to six UK number one singles, multiple multi-platinum albums and a string of award nominations and wins.

Joining Sugababes on the Labyrinth Open Air line-up are electronic music act Groove Armada.

The GRAMMY-nominated duo is known for dance anthems including Superstylin’, At The River, and I See You Baby, and has built a reputation over three decades for DJ sets, live shows and productions that have taken them from underground London parties to major festivals and club nights around the world.

Organisers describe them as among the UK’s most influential dance acts of the last 30 years, with more than two million monthly listeners and a catalogue that continues to attract new audiences.

Groove Armada are described as “an electrifying addition” to the Sugababes bill at Tofte Manor, as Labyrinth Events prepares to bring its open-air festival concept back to the Bedfordshire countryside.

Fans can sign up for pre-sale access here, with pre-sale tickets available from Friday, 28 November at 10am. Any remaining general sale tickets will be available from Monday, 1 December at 10am.
