Police are investigating after staff at a Bedford coffee shop were threatened with a knife during a robbery.
Officers were called to St John’s Street just after 5.30am today (Wednesday), following reports that cash had been taken.
Staff threatened
Bedfordshire Police said two members of staff at Starbucks, at St John’s Retail Park, were threatened before handing over money. Neither was injured during the incident.
The suspect was wearing a balaclava, a ski mask and a grey hat. He is described as around 5ft 6in, of dual heritage, with a tattoo on his wrist reading “Shorna”.
Police said he was seen heading towards London Road after the incident.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
