QD celebrates 21 years in Bedford with new-look store

QD, Bedford is celebrating its 21st birthday today by unveiling its recently refurbished and new look store at Greyfriars.

The discount store, which is part of an independent family owned group, has been a popular retailer in Bedford ever since its opening in 1998.

To mark 21 years in Bedford, the store has celebrations planned with a special birthday cake, balloons and sweets for QD customers, a free face painter will also be in-store and a raffle with prizes including a rocking horse will take place.

A lucky customers chosen at random throughout the day will also win £10 QD gift vouchers.

The store has several long serving staff, including senior sales member Jodie White who joined the store when it first opened.

The store’s manager, Cheryl Reeve, also first began her career with QD stacking shelves and went on to work in other QDs before returning to Bedford. She said: “We are very excited to be having double celebrations with our 21st anniversary and amazing new makeover complete.

“We have lots of very loyal, wonderful customers in Bedford, some of whom have been shopping with us for many years, and we can’t wait to show them around the new look store and invite them to join us for a slice of birthday cake!”
