3 St Peter’s the popular private member’s club on St Peter’s Street, Bedford will soon only be available for private events as the owners seek to evolve the business.
Founded by Poonam and Bali Chand in 2019, 3 St Peter’s has weathered the storm of COVID-19 as a popular private members club, hosting exclusive music nights, afternoon teas, and cinema events.
As well as being what they say is a “refuge” for those who wanted something different from busy high-street-style venues.
“It’s time to evolve and look at where we now take the business,” said Poonam.
“We love our members and we’ve become good friends to many of them but when we weigh up what we want from both our personal and professional lives, evolving the business in this way will give us more freedom as well as continuing to give Bedfordians something different from the norm.”
Modelled on a luxurious 1930’s speakeasy, 3 St. Peter’s will continue to be a place for people to experience high-quality cocktails, music and service albeit in a different format.
“While we won’t be opening on regular nights for members, we will now be available to hire for any occasion by anyone who wants to experience what we have to offer,” adds Poonam.
“They can still order our famous cocktails, listen to the incredible musicians we have had perform here, and relax or party in our ‘club’, this time it will be with the guests they choose themselves.”
After 12 July 2024, the venue will be exclusively for private hire events such as parties, corporate events, wakes, weddings, photo/video shoots, cinema screenings, wedding proposals, pop-ups and more.
“We have loved meeting the 1000s of guests who have attended our events and parties and are so grateful for the loyalty and support we have received over the last 5 years,” reflected Poonam.
“It’s been an honour and a privilege to serve them and to get to know them all. We hope people are not too disappointed and our many loyal customers continue to remain close to 3 St Peter’s in its new form”.
Until then, new and existing members can continue to book into and attend all events.
The owners also said that any outstanding memberships will be refunded, but memberships taken out now will cost £10 per person and £15 per couple (with no joining fee) and will end on 12 July.
Any outstanding gift vouchers will be refunded to the person who purchased and all confirmed private bookings, will be honoured and future private events can be booked.
