Bedfordshire Police have uncovered a cannabis ‘farm’ taking up three rooms at a property on Barkers Lane, Bedford.
The discovery yesterday (Friday) is the third ‘farm’ Police say they have found in Bedford in the last two weeks.
Posting on their Facebook page, the Bedford Community Policing Team said: “We have taken a significant amount of drugs off the streets these last few weeks and we will continue to do so.”
Earlier this week, Police also closed a Goldington area property which was home to a vulnerable adult who was being exploited by dealers.
The vulnerable adult has now been safeguarded and rehoused.
But they have asked locals to keep an extra pair of eyes and ears open for them to help.
Issuing advice to spot possible drug related activity in the area, they asked people to look out for:
- Suspicious movement in and out of the property
- Unusual cabling, perhaps bypassing the electric
- Covered windows or condensation
- Ventilation equipment
If you believe there is drug related activity at property in Bedford you should call 101.
You can also report suspicious activity online at Bedfordshire Police’s website.
In the event of an emergency always call 999.
