Police cordon off area of Midland Road, Bedford after assault

Bedfordshire Police cordoned off an area of Midland Road in Bedford today after a man was assaulted.

At around 3.30 this morning a man in his 20’s was left with serious but non-life threatening injuries after he was assaulted near the Bedford branch of TSB.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. They are currently in police custody.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference 47 of 24 May.
