Peace vigil to honour Sri Lanka bombing victims to be held in Bedford

A peace vigil is being organised in Bedford town centre to show solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka following the terrorist church bombings on Easter Sunday.

The event will be held in Harpur Square on Monday 29 April at 7pm.

“Everyone from the diverse community of Bedford is encouraged to attend,” said Eric Masih, chairman of the Queens Park Community Orchard which is coordinating the event.

“It is important that we can come together at times like this to pay respects to those who lost their lives and suffered following the attacks.”
