Goldington Green Academy has officially joined HEART Academies Trust, marking a new chapter for the school, its pupils and the wider Goldington community.
The move brings the primary school into a Bedford-based family of schools that focuses on high standards, collaboration and continuous improvement, while allowing Goldington Green Academy to keep its own identity, ethos and strong community links.

By joining the trust, Goldington Green Academy will be able to draw on shared expertise, stronger governance and wider professional development opportunities for staff, with the aim of improving outcomes for children and young people.
HEART Academies Trust works with its schools across leadership, teaching and learning, finance, estates and staff development. The trust says this support is designed to help each school thrive in the long term while responding to its own community’s needs.
For Goldington Green Academy, the partnership is expected to build on existing strengths, give staff access to a wider network of colleagues and provide additional support as the school plans for the future.
Working in partnership
David Morris, CEO at HEART Academies Trust, said: “We are delighted to welcome Goldington Green Academy into our Trust. This partnership is built on shared values and a mutual commitment to providing the very best education for every child.
“We look forward to working closely with the school’s staff, pupils and families as we move forward together.”
Headteacher Caroline Skingsley added: “Joining HEART Academies Trust is an exciting step for our school.
“This partnership will allow us to build on our strengths, learn from other schools within the Trust and continue to deliver a high-quality education for our pupils, while remaining firmly rooted in our local community.”
Parents, carers and staff have been kept informed throughout the process, and the transition is being managed to ensure day-to-day continuity for pupils.
HEART Academies Trust is a multi-academy trust currently supporting five schools across Bedford.
