Michael Stephenson is about to take the next step in his career as the Bedfordian boxer has confirmed he will face Troy Jones for the English light-heavyweight title at the BP Pulse Live Arena in Birmingham on 30th November.
Formerly known as the Birmingham Arena, Stephenson fights Jones as part of the undercard for the long-awaited bout between Galal Yafai and Sunny Edwards for the interim WBC flyweight title.

Focus for Stephenson however will be solely on the unbeaten Jones, who has made a quick ascent up the boxing ranks with 11 straight victories, six of which have been via knockouts and most recently, against Leon Willings in August.
Born and raised in Bedford but now living in Northampton, Stephenson earned the right to face the title holder with victory against Harry Matthews in September and the former Midlands light-heavyweight champion is now aiming for national success.

The fight is taking place under the promotion of Matchroom Boxing, owned by world-renowned boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn.

Attention for Stephenson now turns to the intense world of the training camp in preparation for his biggest fight yet.
The 15,685 capacity of the BP Pulse Live arena will be unlike anything that Stephenson has boxed in before, but he is confident that his journey to this point will hold him in good stead come 30th November.
“I’ve got back-to-back camps now, its time to work hard and I can’t take my foot off the gas. I’m feeling strong and fit and looking forward to a good fight”, said Stephenson, speaking to Bedford Independent.
“If anyone wants to sponsor me for this fight, let me know. My focus is on Troy Jones, it will be a good fight and may the best man win.”
The event is live on DAZN, which has become one of the premier networks for live boxing events and Stephenson is now looking for further sponsorship to help his preparation be the best it can be.
You can contact Michael directly via his Instagram page to discuss sponsorship opportunities, while tickets for the event can be bought directly from the BP Pulse Live website.
