Bedfordshire Police has confirmed that a man has been charged in relation to an incident on Stanley Street on 29 January.
Patrick McCann, 50, of Queen Street, Bedford was charged with robbery and grievous bodily harm (GBH) without intent on Friday (5 February).
The incident took place between 8pm and 9pm on Friday (29 January), when the man entered a property in Stanley Street.
He forced his way past the victim before stealing a handbag from inside the address.

McCann has been remanded ahead of an appearance at Luton Crown Court on 8 March.
