Man charged in connection with 13-offence crime spree in Bedford

A man has been charged with a staggering 13 offences – including common assault of an emergency worker – in Bedford. 12 of the offences took place over just ten days.

James Barlow, 52, of no fixed address, was arrested by Bedfordshire Police’s Operation Maze team on Wednesday (25 September).

He was charged with theft from a shop in relation to an incident in June, and theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of attempted burglary, common assault of an emergency worker and eight counts of vehicle interference in relation to incidents that took place in the town between 14 September and 25 September.

Barlow has been remanded into custody ahead of a future court appearance.
