Man arrested on suspicion of burglary after Black Tom break-in

Bedfordshire Police arrested a man in the Black Tom/Prime Ministers area of Bedford late last night (Sunday) after a resident witnessed him ‘casing’ houses.

The man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of burglary after breaking into a house on Clarendon Street.

“We were called at around 11.20pm last night (Sunday) to a report of a break it an address in Clarendon Street, Bedford,” said a spokesperson for Bedfordshire Police.

The man is currently in police custody for questioning.
