Man arrested for attempted murder outside Bedfordshire Police HQ

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a collision involving two vehicles outside Bedfordshire Police’s HQ in Kempston this morning.

In the early hours of this morning, at around 4:30, a black Mercedes estate and a white Ford Transit Connect were involved in a head-on collision.

Four men were found at the scene and taken to hospital were they had treatment for minor injuries

Police confirmed that one man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and three others for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

As yet, no one has been charged.

A fifth man made off from the scene but has not yet been found.

Woburn Road has been closed since the accident and remains closed, but is due to open later on today.
