Bedford-based Wadys Electrical and Mechanical Building Services recently celebrated 60 years of business at a party with staff – past and present – plus customers and suppliers.
The multi-award winning company was founded in 1959 by John Wady and since 1997 his son, Doug, has been . managing director.
The celebratory party was held at the Barns Hotel in Cardington and guests included Bedford Mayor Dave Hodgson MBE, retired staff, current staff, customers and suppliers.
Wadys Electrical & Mechanical Building Services works mainly in the construction industry and has carried out many electrical and mechanical installations on high profile buildings in the area, including Bedford Police HQ, numerous schools, such as Mark Rutherford, Bedford Girls’ School and, most recently, the new Cotton End Forest School.
Doug Wady said: “We are proud of our Bedford heritage and our great staff, many of whom live in Bedfordshire.
“A lot has changed over 60 years but one thing that has remained the same is our quality and trying our very best to keep our customers happy.
“Everyone said they enjoyed the day, particularly the John Bunyan boat trips on the River Ouse.”
