    Bedford Modern School is an HMC Independent Co-educational Day School located on the outskirts of Bedford. Our facilities are excellent and include a separate Junior School, dedicated Sixth Form building, purpose-built Science Centre opened in 2017 and extensive sports facilities.

    We are seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach to work within our Faculty of Sport to commence as soon as possible. The role is for 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 12.00pm – 17.30pm, term time only. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of strength and conditioning at the school, along with the management of the Fitness Centre.

    This is an important role within BMS Sport and in addition to delivery of 1-1 and small group strength and conditioning sessions; the successful candidate will provide support and education regarding general health, physical literacy and fitness across the school for students and staff.

    Applicants should have considerable experience in the provision of strength and conditioning services to athletes to improve performance. A degree in sports science (or related area) and a UKSCA accreditation are essential qualifications for this role.

    Experience working with young sports people would be an advantage and a positive attitude is essential. This is a practical, hands-on role and we are looking for a dynamic individual that can motivate and inspire our students of all ages and abilities. The ability to coach a sport would also be advantageous and could potentially offer more hours.
