    Job description

    We are looking for a motivated individual with attention to detail to join our Trauma & Orthopaedic Team.

    The post holder should possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and team working skills and be able to work in a calm and methodical manner.  Good IT skills are essential and previous experience of working within a healthcare setting would be beneficial but is not essential.

    Main duties of the job

    • Ensure accurate and timely data collection
    • work in a multidisciplinary team with clinical and non-clinical colleagues
    • To assist the Spinal team in collecting, generating and communicating outcomes for patients discussed at the multidisciplinary meetings
    • To provide regular reports as agreed with clinical and management colleagues
    • To contact patients prior to surgery for validation, and update the relevant team with any concerns

    Qualifications

    Essential criteria
    • IT skills and the ability to learn new computer systems. Good general education
    Desirable criteria
    • Competence in different soft ware packages including Word, Excel & CRISS (local software package for Imaging

    Experience

    Essential criteria
    • Previous office skills in administrative roles.
    Desirable criteria
    • Previous experience of working in a health care setting.

    Communication Skills

    Essential criteria
    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written. To liaise with medical staff at various levels.

    Knowledge

    Essential criteria
    • Understanding the need of confidentially at all times. Able to work to deadlines on own initiative
