    Job description

    Fixed term for up to 12 months

    We have an exciting opportunity within the Public Health Commissioning and Procurement division, where you will be responsible for the delivery of low risk, low value (sub PCR15 thresholds) procurement activities for a range of procurement categories, including works, supplies and services.

    In this vital role, you will source requirements via existing contracts/framework agreements or simple quick quotes using the e-tendering portal. Building relationships with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure business timescales is an important part of this role.

    You will be tasked with activities that contribute towards projects of greater complexity and risk where required.

    You will also monitor the incoming requirements via purchase order request forms, forwarding higher value/complex requirements to the procurement managers/officers as required.

    About you

    This is a public facing role so you will need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.

    You should be well organised and have the ability to manage multiple work streams, at different stages of development simultaneously. You must have a positive can – do attitude and strive on working under pressure, with the ability to prioritise your workload effectively, and have a great attention to detail.

    Excellent communication skills and customer service skills are vital for this role. You must have a confident demeanour, and be able to demonstrate negotiation and influencing skills in a commercial environment, with a wide range of people, stakeholders and organisations.
