    Job description

    We have an exciting opportunity within Prevention and Early Intervention team where you will undertake a variety of repair/maintenance tasks to enable the clients to live as independently as possible and to ensure the Home complies with Health and Safety regulations.

    As a Handy Person, you will carry out maintenance duties within the building including putting up shelves, moving furniture, changing light bulbs, cleaning lamp shades and heavy cleaning duties.

    You will also undertake the maintenance of all outside areas including sweeping up leaves, keeping grounds tidy and safe, cleaning snow from drives and footpaths, salting as required.

    About you

    This is a public facing role so you will need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.

    Our ideal candidate should have some experience of maintenance relating to buildings and equipment. You should also be able to complete a variety of DIY/cleaning to a high standard and you can work unsupervised and as a part of a team within and meet strict deadlines and targets.

    You should have some knowledge of Health and Safety issues relating to maintenance/cleaning duties, and be able to read labels/ instructions / equipment manuals and write messages/notes.
