We are looking for an Educational Psychologist to join our friendly team at Bedford Borough Council which staff describe as child centred, honest and supportive.
The Educational Psychology team has undergone exciting changes in the past 24 months by becoming a traded service, creating an innovative and dynamic environment for our Educational Psychologists to thrive professionally in a changing educational landscape.
We are proud that 91% of schools in Bedford Borough have bought back into the service and the ideal candidate will be flexible and self-motivated in order to adhere to the demands of the service as well as encompassing a child centred approach, first and foremost. It’s an exciting opportunity to be a part of our adaptive and growing friendly team.
Key duties include managing a cluster of allocated schools by developing key relationships with SENCOs and school professionals, undertaking assessments both statutory and traded, advise and support schools through planning meetings and ‘Drop Ins’. There is also the opportunity to deliver specialist trainings to schools.
We utilise new psychological training and peer supervision to continue to develop and grow as a practice and professionally. Our working ethos is flexible and hardworking. Consideration will be given to candidates who are eligible for registration as a practising Psychologist HCPC, flexible working and more experience.
