Autism Bedfordshire is an independent charity that is dedicated to improving the lives of autistic people and their families by providing impactful services across the county and surrounding areas.
Our adult support services primarily focus on working with autistic adults who do not have a learning disability through the following opportunities:
- Skill development courses
- Employment support
- Social opportunities
- Advocating on behalf of our membership
This fantastic new role will work closely with a small but knowledgeable and devoted team whose mission is to ensure that every autistic adult in Bedfordshire can lead a fulfilling and rewarding life.
The success of this role is greatly dependent on the individual having a person-centred approach to our members needs and having strong administration and coordination skills. An ideal candidate would be an organised individual with the appetite and desire to learn
Key Responsibilities:
- To report to the Adult Services Manager on the activities of adult services projects
- To coordinate and support on multiple projects across the adult services team
- To liaise with multiple project partners and attend networking events as required
- Support members with transitioning into Autism Bedfordshire service
To create and manage the adult services newsletters
- To create and maintain accurate records and reports of the work undertaken
- To promote Autism Bedfordshire’s services
- To read, understand and implement Autism Bedfordshire’s policies and procedures
- To assist in resolving issues highlighted by helpline calls
- Independently managing their workload and competing priorities
