A detached Bedford home could become a six-bedroom house in multiple occupation (HMO) and a bedsit – if plans are approved.

Bedford Borough Council has received plans to change 5 Marigold Way from a four-bedroom house (with a one-bed annex) to a HMO with an attached bedsit.

Three of the HMO bedrooms will be doubles with en-suite, and a double bedroom will share a bathroom with two single rooms. They will all share a kitchen and a communal dining room.

The bedsit will have its own shower/toilet and kitchen area.

There will be parking for up to five vehicles and a cycle rack.

More information can be found on the council’s planning portal, reference 24/00805/COU.

The overall consultation expiry date is Wednesday, May 15, 2004.
