Festival vibes in Great Denham this Sunday

Summer festival ice cream

It has been been many months in the making, but this Sunday, thanks to the dedication of volunteers Rachel, Gemma and Steve, the stage is set for the biggest Summer Festival Great Denham has ever seen.

And organisers are hoping for their biggest turn-out yet, too.

This Sunday (30 June), the Community Hall will host the event from noon to 6pm and the headline attractions are four huge inflatables including Zorbs, a giant football chamber and a 5m x 10m FootDarts board supplied by Xtreme Events.

Thanks to funding by the Great Denham Parish Council, all local residents have received a voucher for a free turn on any of the inflatables.

There will also be Thurstons fairground rides, Gallone’s ice cream and refreshments from the Eatery.

“The team have a real passion for delivering large successful events in Great Denham,” said co-organiser, Steve Gallagher.

“We believe it is vital for any new growing developments like Great Denham to have a strong sense of community. The work done by the Community Hall, with fantastic support from the Parish Council, is vital to this, providing opportunities for the community to come together.

“We hope with the regular Pop Up Pub, Children’s Cinema and our growing seasonal events we can help get people together and will continue to plan more and more……..the ice rink has already been booked for Christmas!”
