The company behind Bedford Park Concerts, LPH Concerts and Events (LPH), has announced that Eagle Brewery will be their headline sponsor for the next three years, starting with the three-day summer concert series from 26 to 28 July this year.

Independent promoter LPH has helped put Bedford on the map by bringing some of the biggest global musical stars on the planet to town.

In previous years it has organised concerts in Bedford Park with: Sir Tom Jones, Kaiser Chiefs, UB40, Jess Glynne, Billy Ocean, and Dizzee Rascal to name just a few.

This summer is set to be their most ambitious weekend to date with Rita Ora headlining the Saturday night gig, and Café Mambo hosting an Ibiza Night DJ Session on the Friday.

As Bedfordians will already be aware the increasingly popular weekend is then closed with the family favourite Bedford Park Proms on the Sunday, which will this year include tenor Wynne Evans and the usual spectacular fireworks and laser show.

Speaking about the sponsorship deal, a spokesperson for Eagle Brewery said they “share the same vision and ethos as LPH Concert and Events – a passion for our town.

“Eagle Brewery is a company that embraces different perspectives and celebrating the best of what Bedford has to offer.”

Mark Harrison, Director of LPH Concerts and Events, added: “After a number of successful years building up the Bedford Park Concert weekend, we now have a three-day event which we are immensely proud of.

“An independent event run by an independent promoter with a team passionate about Bedford.

“We are pleased to have one of Bedford’s biggest employers on board and to have a company that is so central to community life makes this a very exciting partnership.

“We look forward to working with Eagle Brewery for the next three years.”

Eagle Brewery montageChris Chisolm, head brewer at Eagle brewery said: “We are really excited with this new partnership and are thrilled that Bedford Park Concerts are bringing a world-famous artist like Rita Ora to the town as well as the iconic Café Mambo experience.

“The Eagle Brewery is committed to celebrating the very best of Bedford and partnering with premium local events.

“We understand how important this event is for the people of Bedford and we are keen to help develop and grow this relationship over the course of the next three years.

“We brew Bedford’s beer of choice Eagle IPA and the famous Bombardier and drinkers will be able to enjoy them both on-site (along with other beers we brew) throughout the duration of the weekend.

“We cannot wait for July and look forward to partying with the people of Bedford!”

Eagle Brewery was purchased from Charles Wells by Marston’s in May 2017 in a deal worth £55million.
