Bedford-based Select Travel Holidays is celebrating reaching the finals of the prestigious Travel Weekly awards in not one, but two categories.
Cruise Select is a finalist in the (Small) Cruise Agency Award, the fourth time it’s made the shortlist, and Select Travel Holiday’s Amy Wright has been shortlisted for an individual special award, the ATAS Ambassador Award.
The ATAS Ambasador Award is a new category in the Travel Weekly awards, recognising the increasing importance of the touring and adventure sector.
“I think it’s fantastic that our team at Cruise Select has yet again been recognised for their expertise as cruise specialists,” said Amy. “It’s particularly special as this year we’re celebrating our 20th anniversary.
“For me, personally, I also feel incredibly honoured to have been shortlisted for the ATAS Ambassador Award, as I’ve been really passionate about the touring and adventure sector since my first experience a few years ago, and I’ve definitely become a convert.
“It’s the first time for this award, too, which recognises the growing importance of this sector, and it’s amazing to have been recognised for my own efforts in promoting touring and adventure travel to our clients.”
Travel Weekly’s Agent Achievement Awards have , been established over 24 years and are the UK’s leading awards for front-line travel sellers and their agencies.
The awards ceremony will be held on 11 July at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.
