A £20,000 emergency appeal has been launched to support victims and families affected by the train crash in Bedfordshire last week (Friday, 19 June 2026).
The Bedford Cross-County Train Crash Appeal is a joint initiative set up by the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation, Northamptonshire Community Foundation, and Forever Notts Community Foundation.
Organisers say the money will provide direct support to local people experiencing serious injuries, psychological distress, and financial hardship following the incident.

The cross-county collaboration reflects the crash’s widespread impact, leaving families across the region dealing with life-changing consequences.
In a joint statement, the foundations said: “While this appeal will not be able to solve the life-changing impact of the incident, we hope to be able to provide some financial relief to these individuals.”

The fund is being administered with guidance from the National Emergencies Trust, the Fundraising Regulator, and the Charity Commission to ensure all donations are handled safely and appropriately.
