After listening to the concerns of parents, carers, practitioners and school staff, about how they can access support for mental health and wellbeing, Bedford Borough Council has launched a new online service.

Mental health support and guidance is now in one easy-to-navigate space on the council’s Local Offer website. You can visit the page here.

The page includes adult mental health support, wellbeing support for teaching staff and where to signpost young people who may need additional support and guidance and is a collaboration between the council and the Bedford Borough Parent Carer Forum, BLMK CCG, voluntary sector, Public Health and CAMHS services.

Cllr James Valentine, Portfolio Holder for Children’s Service and Education said: “We have listened to what’s been said and acted accordingly to produce this dedicated page of support and guidance.

“This collection of resources has had many contributors and reflects a truly multi-agency approach to supporting the emotional wellbeing of our children & young people and professionals in Bedford Borough.

“We want to ensure this page is as user friendly as possible so we would welcome any feedback on it, as well as any ideas on services or resources that should be included.”
