The Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger has received a substantial donation from the Connolly Foundation.
It comes at a time when many charities are financially struggling due to the coronavirus lockdown.
The £50,00 donation has helped the much-loved hospice in Moggerhanger to keep running and continue to provide its expert care.
The hospice cares for people with life-limiting conditions across Bedfordshire, as well as supporting their families.
The donation could pay for more than 2,300 hours of care, which helps people live the best life they possibly can.
Allison Mann, Interim Hospice Director at Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice, said, “A huge thank you to the Connolly Foundation for this incredible donation of £50,000 – we are really grateful for the on-going support, especially at this time.
“The donation will help to keep the hospice running and continue to provide expert care to local families when they need them the most.”
