Charity cyclist Ewan McCulloch, 52, from Edinburgh, is cycling from Cumbria to the south coast of England over 10 days and 1,300km in a bid to raise more than £50,000 for charities, including FACES.
FACES is a charity that provides practical and emotional support to Bedfordshire families facing challenges including poverty, mental health difficulties, domestic abuse and special educational needs.
McCulloch said, “FACES is such a worthy cause, and while the cycling may be mentally and physically challenging, it is all worth it when you see how many people have come together to support charities up and down the country.”
The Bedford stop
Having stopped at Bedford suspension bridge, along the embankment this week, Monday 10 August, Ewan’s route takes in all 18 counties represented by the local government funds that collectively own the Border to Coast Pensions Partnership, where he is Chief Stakeholder Officer.
McCulloch’s route does not just pass through Bedford; Bedfordshire pension fund is supporting FACES.
