UPDATE: The road has now reopened.
Bedfordshire Police are advising people to avoid using the northbound carriageway of the A6 Paula Radcliffe Way in Bedford after an incident involving multiple vehicles.
Fire crews are also currently on the scene. There are also delays on the southbound carriageway after a separate incident. People are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
