Breaking news: Body found in Harrold

A body has been found in Harrold near Brook Lane.

Bedfordshire Police say they were called at around 8.00am this morning (Thursday) following the discovery of the body close to Brook Lane in the village north of Bedford.

At 4:35pm this afternoon, Bedfordshire Police confirmed that a woman in her 40s was found dead at the scene.

A spokesperson added, “while she has not yet been formally identified, her next of kin have been informed and specialist officers are working to support them.

“The incident is being treated as unexplained and a file will be prepared and passed to the coroner.”

Officers remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
