Boyds of Bedford launch ‘Bedford Big Thank You’ charity t-shirt

Boyds Bedford Thank you

Boyds of Bedford have partnered with the ‘Bedford Big Thank You’ campaign to release a charity t-shirt to raise money to support those working in the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic.

They may have had to temporarily shut their Stagsden store, but the Boyds team were determined to make a difference during the coronavirus crisis, so reached out to the Bedford Hospital Charity and Friends (BHC&F) to get involved in their Big Thank You campaign.

The Bedford Big Thank You has been set up by BHC&F to provide daily donations of free food, drink – and cakes – to frontline staff at Bedford Hospital.

The charity is also donating £25,000 towards improving the hospital’s Wi-Fi so that staff and patients can keep in touch with their friends and family.

Boyds’ t-shirt features their Bend not Break design hand printed on a high quality, organic, climate neutral, 100% cotton unisex t-shirt.

“We launched this design as part of our spring summer collection, but in the current climate its simple message of resilience has taken on a new meaning,” said Boyds of Bedford owner, Tom Answer.

“The Boyds ethos is “slow fashion at high speed” so we wanted a design which shared a message of strength, but which wasn’t so specific to COVID-19 that you wouldn’t want to wear it beyond the crisis ending.

“This t-shirt would make a great gift to an NHS employee or key worker, but is also a great way to show your support.”

The t-shirt retails at £15 including P&P, with at least £5 going to the charity campaign.
