The former leader of the English Defence League and far-right activist, Stephen Yaxley Lennon – commonly known as Tommy Robinson – was arrested at Center Parcs in Woburn on Sunday (1 March).
It followed an altercation between Mr Yaxley-Lennon and another member of the public at the holiday resort in Woburn Forest.
A spokesperson from Bedfordshire Police said, “We were called at around 1.10pm on Sunday (1 March) to a report of an altercation between two men at Center Parcs, Woburn Forest.
“One man sustained an injury to his face, and received first aid at the scene. Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, 37, of Bedford, has been charged with common assault.”
Mr Yaxley-Lennon has taken to social media, sharing a video of his arrest.
He has been bailed ahead of a court appearance at Luton Magistrates’ Court on 2 April.
