The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Dog Unit has launched a new calendar featuring never-before-seen photos of the forces crime fighting pooches. Funds raised from sales of the calendar will be split between German Shepherd Rescue Elite and Luna Animal Rescue

German Shepherd Rescue Elite rescues and rehomes German Shepherds, whilst educating people about the breed. Bedfordshire-based Luna Animal Rescue rehomes dogs, cats and small animals.

PC Lindsey Cox, from the BCH Dog Unit and who handles PD Harley (both pictured), said: “We’re hoping this is going to be a fun way of raising money for two deserving animal charities. The support we receive from the public has always been overwhelming and we’d be incredibly grateful if this could extend to our aim of raising funds for the rescue centres.”

There is a limited number of calendars, available for a minimum donation of £8 per calendar, although larger donations can also be made.

Pre-orders are being taken via PayPal atwww.paypal.me/bchdogunit and will be sent to your home address once printed. Calendars can also be collected from police headquarters in Kempston. If you’d prefer to collect your calendar please leave a note when making payment via PayPal.
