“I’m absolutely made up for Duls”, said manager, Lee Bircham as Bedford Town confirmed striker Liam Dulson has left The Eyrie for the Football League, signing for League Two side Cheltenham Town.
Dulson was a key part of the Eagles’ promotion-winning campaign in Southern League Central Division One and he has been rewarded with a shot at the big time as he moves to Gloucestershire to play in the fourth tier of English football.

Dulson makes a move that many non-league footballers can only dream of as he joins Michael Flynn’s Cheltenham Town side who were relegated to League Two last campaign after a 2-1 defeat against Stevenage on the final day.
Bedford Town commented on ‘X’, wishing Dulson well for his Football League journey.
“Congratulations to Liam Dulson on his move to Cheltenham Town.
“Liam was a huge part of our season, scoring vital goals and playing various positions when asked. Good luck for the next chapter, Liam.”

Lee Bircham, who has already attracted a plethora of attacking talent to The Eyrie for the new season, including securing the return of Connor Tomlinson, was equally as complimentary in wishing Dulson well.
“[Dulson] was first class for us at Bedford Town last season and a huge part of our promotion campaign.
“A superb goalscorer and a proper grafter. Plus a terrific lad with absolutely no ego at all, (even when asked to play wing back when it was needed!
“Go smash it mate!”
The 22-year old has reportedly signed a long term contract at the Robins and spoke of his pride in making the move to full-time professional football.
Speaking to the Cheltenham Town media team, Dulson said, “It’s great to be here. It’s been a challenging first few days in the building moved to full-time football but I’m really enjoying it.
“The last few seasons in non-league have been really good, I’ve slowly improved each season with goals and now I think is the time to step up.”
