Following on from recent success in the GT Cup at Donington Park, Bedford’s prime motor racing prospect, Alex Walker heads to Snetterton looking to end the calendar in style.
With a second and third place from the two endurance races at Donington alongside partner Tim Docker, the duo are now in a good position to attack for a Championship.
There are 200 points up for grabs this weekend and Walker and Docker are only 30 points behind the second place driver pairing.
The aim? Walker and Docker are looking to end their year with both podiums in the races and also for the championship overall.
The new McLaren Artura GT4 car has been a real step up in performance for both Paddock Motorsport and Walker, who until his first race had only done approximately 20 miles in the new car.

Alex Walker is looking forward to an exciting finale at Snetterton.
“We had a great start with the new car at Donington Park which was about learning for next year. My pace relative to the other pro drivers was strong and chased down both second and third in the second dry-wet-dry race.
“This was my first experience of a GT4 in the rain, so I was very happy to gain some 10 seconds on the pair ahead of me during my stint.
My team mate Tim did a great job in both races, handing the car over in good condition so we could race for the podium.
As this was my first race weekend with Paddock Motorsport, it was great to work with Martin and Dan on the radio during the race, where we were learning on the fly.
“This will put us in good shape for next season where we hope to contest both GT Cup and the British GT Championship.”
This is the latest stage in which Walker can demonstrate his skills, after a successful time in the GB4 Championship last year and experiencing street racing for the first time in the BMW M2 Cup earlier this season in Germany.
All the races on both Saturday and Sunday will feature on the GT Cup YouTube channel with the action beginning with the Boxster Cup at 09:00 on Saturday morning.
