All primary school children in Bedford Borough have been invited by the Mayor to help design his oficial Christmas card.
Mayor Dave Hodgson has written to every school to encourage them to take part in the competition.
He said, “Amidst all the turmoil of this year, I’d like to inject a little bit of normality and I’m inviting all primary-aged children to help design my 2020 Christmas card, with the theme of ‘A Happy Christmas’.”
All children up to the age of 11 can take part. Entries should be on an A4 piece of paper created using paint, crayons or felt-tip pens.
Aspiring young artists should use bold and bright colours that will make an eye-catching design.
On the back of the completed drawing, write the name, age, class and school name of the child. Home-schooled children are also welcome to join in and put ‘home-schooled’ instead of the class and school name.
The closing date to receive the pictures is Friday 30 October 2020.
Please send entries to Mayor Dave Hodgson, Bedford Borough Council, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AP.
