The Bedford Independent has appointed a sales manager ahead of its website launch in a few weeks’ time.
Ann Rennell has a long history of working in media, starting her career working for Herts and Essex newspaper for 10 years, selling advertising into numerous publications across the group, working with estate agents, car dealerships, local independent businesses and local schools.
After this she moved from Essex to Bedford to work for the Bedfordshire on Sunday, doing the exact same thing. She left the paper in 2013 to set up the The puddin club on Castle Road.
Speaking about her appointment, Ann told us: “I’m genuinely excited to join the team, The Bedford Independent is exactly what Bedford needs to keep us all up to date. I can’t wait to get going.
“I’m a great believer in advertising and believe the Bedford Independent, which already reaches around 110,000 people a month, will prove to be an excellent vehicle for local business to both advertise and keep abreast of what’s going on.”
