Bedford in a Day – last chance to take part

Bedford in a Day

This Saturday (22 June) the Bedford in a Day photography project will aim to capture 24 hours in the life of the Borough – and you can still be a part of it.

We’re asking ordinary Bedfordians to submit their photos on the day, capturing everything from a family breakfast time to sporting fixtures, street parties to dog walking.

You can find out full details of how to take part here.

The day has been broken down into half hour slots and there are still a few up for grabs.

From midnight until 5am on Saturday morning and from 10pm – midnight in the evening, we’d love to hear from night-owls, shift-workers, clubbers, DJs, police officers and fire crews.

Organised by Explore Bedford, the Bedford Independent and the Bedford Clanger, the aim of the project is to create a film celebrating how extraordinary an ordinary day in Bedford can be.

Now more than ever, we need your help to fund the Bedford Independent’s quality journalism that serves our community...

We choose to champion editorial independence, meaning we report the facts without bias and can stand up to those in power when we believe it’s needed.

We can give a voice to people in our community whose voices may otherwise not be heard. And we don’t have a paywall, so everyone can read the stories we publish for free.

But in this time of crisis, many news organisations all over the world are facing existential threat, with advertising revenues plummeting. We’re no different.

We work hard every day to bring you news, commentary, entertainment and announcements from across Bedford. We hope that, with your help, we’ll be able to continue this for many years to come.
