Bedford College Hair and Beauty show returns, bringing glamour to town centre

After a two-year hiatus, the much-loved Bedford College Hair and Beauty show returns to Bedford Corn Exchange on 26 May.

This year’s theme is ‘Celebrations’ and as ever, models will make their way from Brooks on the High Street to the Corn Exchange on St Paul’s Square in their jaw-dropping, traffic-stopping outfits.

The catwalk event, which features stunning models, outrageous outfits and carefully coiffed hairstyles, was unable to take place in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid restrictions.

Hair and Beauty trainees at the college-run Brooks salon on the High Street spend months planning and preparing for the big night and anyone in the town centre on the day will be certain not to miss them.

BedfordBID is sponsoring the event, giving £500 worth of Love Bedford vouchers as prizes. A further top prize of £25 will be given to one lucky contestant.

For the first time, Baker Brothers Diamonds of St Peter’s Street are supporting the event by donating a prize and here will be goodie bags from the Body Shop for the Top 12 contestants.

Although much of the audience is made up of friends, family and employers, tickets are open to all and can be bought for £6 via the Bedford Corn Exchange website. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm.
