Bedfordshire Police Chief Constable selection – public panel

Candidates for the role of Bedfordshire Police’s chief constable faced a public panel in what’s thought to be the first-ever interview process of its kind to select a new police chief constable.

The candidates were:

  • Richard Martin – Deputy Assistant Commissioner for the Metropolitan Police
  • Jackie Sebire – Assistant Chief Constable of Bedfordshire Police
  • Garry Forsyth – Deputy Chief Constable of Bedfordshire Police

Bedfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Kathryn Holloway, invited members of the public and the Bedfordshire Police workforce to attend a public panel that is forming part of the new chief constable’s selection process.

Garry Forsyth was chosen as the new Chief Constable.
