Bedford Blues Women are kicking off the new year with a free ‘Train with the Team’ programme in a bid to boost participation and improve the fitness and wellbeing of Bedfordians.

The six week programme will be rugby themed, but not necessarily for people only interested in taking up the sport as the Women’s team look to branch out.

Lead by the current players and coaches of the Women’s team, the programme begins on Saturday 15th January from 9.30am at Bedford Athletic Rugby Club on Wentworth Drive.

Bedford Blues Women were founded in the midst of the pandemic in January 2020, and have been competing in their first ever competitive league season this year.

The Women are currently top of NC3 Midlands division with a 100% record, and are playing some of their home games at the iconic Goldington Road ground.

Attendance for the programme is completely free. For more information, contact the club at womensrugbybedford@gmail.com.
