Bedfordshire Police has confirmed that properties in Aylesbury Road have been evacuated regarding an ongoing ‘concern for welfare’ of a resident.
Members of the public have been asked to avoid the area.
Emergency services were called to a property on Aylesbury Road at about 10.40pm yesterday (Monday), and they are still on the scene.
Specialist Cadent gas vans are also in the area.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the force said: “We are currently at the scene of a concern for welfare for a man at a property in Bedford.
“With the support of other blue light services, a cordon has been put in place, and several nearby properties have been evacuated.”
