Arrest Police

Bedfordshire Police have confirmed that armed officers attended an incident in Kempston early this morning.

They were called shortly after 4:35am this morning (Wednesday) to a report of a robbery at Paul’s Store and Off License in Bedford Road, Kempston. The offenders were believed to be armed and had barricaded themselves inside the premises.

Armed officers attended and two men were arrested at the scene. The road was partially closed from Littledale Street to Silverdale Street while emergency services dealt with the incident and is now reopen.

The two men are currently in custody for questioning.
