It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher James Perry, born on August 15, 1937, in Birmingham, England. He died peacefully on November 12, 2023, at home in Frinton on Sea, Essex.

Christopher is survived by his beloved wife, Sally, and was Father to their five children, Tom, Sareh, Giles, Charlotte and Luke. He was a loving grandfather to Charlie, Alice, Barney, Eloise, Amelia, Grace, Emily, Vinnie and Henry.

Christopher was an incredibly hardworking and devoted man. He was the Bursar of Bedford Modern School for 38 years, from 1960 to 1998. He was a lifelong golfer, a Church Warden and PPC Member at St. James’s Church, Biddenham, a Magistrate for 27 years, a School Governor and an avid charity supporter.

Christopher was one of life’s gentlemen who put service and love at the heart of his life. He was a kind and generous man who always put others before himself. He was a great listener and was always willing to lend an ear to those who needed it. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He also had a twinkle in his eye, an easy, charming manner and a mischievous sense of humour.

Christopher will be remembered for his kind and gentle nature and unwavering loyalty to his family.

The funeral for Chris will take place on November 28th at 12.30 at St Mary’s Parish Church, Frinton on Sea.
